"Born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Autumn Grant is ingrained with a healthy and active lifestyle. After graduating high school Autumn spread her wings for her first real adventure to Florence where she spent a year working as an au pair for an Italian family. She spent her time studying the Italian language, fashion and art, frequently visiting local markets and learning to cook the authentic way. Being so enriched in a particular culture, Autumn realized the importance and value of travel. It allowed her to open up and connect with people from all over the world and inspired her like nothing else. Upon her return back to Canada she decided to study International Development Studies and Environment, Sustainability, and Society at Dalhousie University. She was an active member of the student union, Co-Chair of the TOMS@Dal society, and part of the honours thesis class of 2013. However, it was the university summers abroad that Autumn looked forward to most. Between backpacking through Central America and South East Asia, to volunteering in Africa, she took every opportunity to get away as it was a chance to explore a new corner of the world. It’s safe to say she is happiest at the seaside; whether it’s a yoga practice on the beach, a surf session on the water, or a dive to explore the underwater world, the ocean is where you will find Autumn at her finest.
