Who is Dee Wilkie "Surface Designer" ?

Image
I first had the pleasure of meeting Dee at the Atlantic Fashion Show last year (2015). I was intrigued with her creations as she is a surface designer and having represented various wall paper designs years ago, I wanted to know more about what she did and how she came about it. Surface designer? When you see art everywhere on wall paper or textiles (pillows, bedsheets, repetitive illustration on cards, even temporary tattoos...) You can view her blog at  https://deewilkie.wordpress.com/about/  and find out who she is and what she does in depth.  Not only is this girl full of talent but also has a full heart. Check out a new article written by AV Blog: https://alexvautour.wordpress.com/2016/07/14/introducing-dee-wilkie-the-designer-who-just-keeps-going/ Since our showroom is on the beach...and our Keikaikoa Open House was featuring new Atlantic artists and artisans, I asked if she would partake and a few weeks later a package arrived with her beautiful scarves...soon we hope

Open House at Keikaikoa was a fantastic day! It really was the perfect warm and sunny day and we featured artist  Larry Fogg, the former owner of St Lawrence Kitchen in Hubbards. We had some pop ups by Birdie and Beach Glass Candle Company was a big hit! Dee Wilkie, surface designer was showcased at the event. Thank you for all those who brought donations for Feed Nova Scotia for our local food bank. Thank you for Maureen Dunn for cleaning out your closet and giving generously and dropping off the goods at SMBfoodbank.ca  Special thanks to Allan Carver for his giant Bubbles! Did you know that our neighbour Allan made the mechanical dinosaur for the discovery centre?  Check out his creations on his You tube Channel  https://youtu.be/pDpzIjqJUf0                                                                    www.larryfogg.com https://deewilkie.wordpress.com http://www.beachglasscandles.com
